Can I wear contacts today if my eye was dry yesterday?

Yesterday my right eye was dry and my contact did not want to come out because of it. So today can I wear contacts?

  1. Preferably give your eyes a break today if you can and pop them on tomorrow.  From now on, insert artificial tears into your eyes a few mins prior to insertion each day..not too viscous though.  Also you may have dry eyes in general so do what I recommend to all my CL wearing patients: Start taking a high-quality fish oil capsule 3x a day from now.  Helps quell dryness and helps lubricate...great for your body too.  Good Luck!


  2. Yes you can, but make sure to take your glasses with you, just in case. Also, put a drop or two of lubricating drops or solution in your eyes and let it absorb into your eye tissue for a full minute before you pull off your contacts, you don't want to damage your corneas by pulling off the contact when the contact is stuck to it.

  3. why dont you just put eye drops in them before you take them out? idk if that would help or not seems like it would
