Can I wear my contacts w/ makeup?

Question

I heared you have to be careful wearing make up w/ contacts. I want to know what is it that I have to look out for? I heared I can get an infection, but I've seen many people wearing eye linear, mascara, etc. with theirs.

i wear contacs AND makeup.and they just say b carefull so u don get makeup IN ur contacs lol

I wear contacts, and i always wear eyeliner and mascara for eyeproducts i use L'Oreal HIP, Urban Decay, and Clinique and i haven't been irritated :D if your scared try neutrogena stuff like this:

well, i dont wear contacts myself, but my friends do and they wear make-up just fine, so i would assume its ok. if you are really worried, then ask your doctor. im pretty sure they would know the answer to that.

as long as you clean your contacts after you take them out or before you put them in you should be fine.

some makeup containers say where or not its safe for contact lense wearers but most are.

i havent changed any makup i wear since i got contacts just make sure to keep them clean.

just try and not get any on them and if you do clean them right away. and its fine i do it all the time. =]

I have contacts and I wear makeup. However, don't apply eyeliner on your inner rims, or waterline (the area between your lashes and your actual eyeball). The eyeliner can get in your eye easily and get under your contacts, which can irritate your eyes quite a bit. And, as I'm sure you know, it burns quite a lot when you get dust, dirt, eyelashes, etc. trapped underneath your contacts :P I sympathize!

Just don't get any makeup in your eye or accidentally poke yourself in the eye with the mascara wand(it hurts more when you have the contact in). First put the contact in, then do your makeup.

yeah you can wear makeup with contacts.. i have contacts and i wear eyeliner on the waterline and the bottom part of your eyelid where it almost touches your eyeball... it doesnt irritate, but yeah, you need to clean your contacts every time you take them off with a good solution, like Opti Free contact solution..

you'll get an infection if you dont take care of your contacts, change them every two weeks or monthly depending on your contacts.. or use mascara for over 3 or more months.. because if used mascara is kept too long, bacteria will grow onto it, and then get into your eye..
