  1. YES

    short and simple

  2. I would never wear jeans skating. And especially new ones. They are tight and they wont let you move. And if you fall and get them wet, they stay wet the whole time. I would wear sweats because they are more comfortable and dry faster. just dont wear jeans!!!!!!!!!!

  3. That sounds fine, but you might want to wear a shorter top.(unless it has the thick elastic on the bottom) Like the others said, you should wear something that isn't too new.  just a note:  jeans take a long time to dry.  don't forget to wear gloves. don't forget to bring along thick socks.  for rental skates you need them.

    Have Fun!

  4. Your clothes should be fine. They might get a little wet but I wouldn't worry beyond that unless you run into and get stuck on a wall. I wouldn't suggest wearing tight jeans though. Balancing the first time you try to skate is hard enough to begin with, but if you severely reduce your range of movement as well prepare to go splat. A lot. I would look a little less cute in favor of staying upright =/

  5. Well, for your first time, you probably want to wear something that you would be comfortable falling in. Usually, your first time is when you fall the most, since you need to get used to the ice. I'm sure the ice wouldn't hurt your new clothes (water doesn't stain), but as for the skinny jeans, they're probably not the best choice because there is the possibility that they might rip because new jeans are usually stiff. I'd say the problem "What should I wear on my body" is not as important as what you wear on your feet. Make sure that you are wearing either skating tights (sold in skate shops), or at least a pair of socks that are very comfortable, and go up a bit farther than your ankles. The reason I mentioned that was because of those darned blisters. Considering you're going for your first time tomorrow, to may have new skates, or you might rent some older skates from the ice rink you'll be skating at. New skates take a while to break in, and the rentals just plain hurt. Both give you those stinkin' blisters! Make sure you have the correct footwear on!

    Happy Skating!

  6. depends how often you fall... you can wear new clothes if you want, but they may rip.

also jeans can soak up alot of moisture, so if you fall ur gonna be wet for a while

  7. If they're NEW I'd suggest not... they'll get wet!

  8. Skating in jeans isn't such a good idea no matter how amazing you'll look.

Try tight fitting track pants in black or blue, you'll still look great, trust me.

As for the baby shirt and sweater, unless you have a great fall and rip them, the most damage that could happen is that they get wet.

(Nothing a little air drying can't cure though)

So yeah, hope you have fun and enjoy yourself! That's what really matters right? ;)

  9. I don't think it would be the greatest idea to wear jeans because they're pretty tight and don't allow you to move freely. Besides, if they are new and you're new at skating you'll probably fall a lot (no offense) and they could possibly get damaged.

  10. I think jeans would be fine for your first time skating. Most kids wear jeans for open skating. But,I wouldn't  wear your new ones if you don't want a hole in them.

What ever you decide to wear make sure you can move freely in them so you can be flexible. Your shirt and sweater should be fine.

If you have those one size fits all knit gloves, I would suggest you wear them while you skate. Trust me on this.

  11. If you fall there is a chance that your blade might snag or cut the fabric. Its not really a good idea to wear jeans because they don't allow you to move and they don't repel water, leaving you wet. You can wear jeans if you want, probably don't want to wear new ones just in case. The shirt doesn't matter as long as you won't freeze wearing it, and you may be able to get away with wearing a new one, though it will probably get wet also.

  12. your just recreationally skating so not much is a problem.

your gonna fall (dont worry its not bad, i must fall at least 20 times a practice on my double axel), if your shirt covers your butt its gonna get a hole in it.

skinny jeans are fine. just dont make them too tight or you'll rip your pants trying to get up. avoid falling in wet areas as much as possible because if they get soaked they will feel heavy.

  13. yes. It doesn't matter too because i am sure you will barely move! ;) Good luck!

  14. hmm... i think it's ok to wear whatever you like as long as it's not overboard (like a long gown, or a very long skirt that reaches your feet).

if you want a formal look, wear slacks or a knee length skirt.

skinny jeans are ok, but if you think you'll fall big time then skip the new long baby shirt. they'll get wet or worse, torn.

    happy partying!
