Question:

Can I win a boxing fight against Manny Pacquiao?

I'm 6'3 and 250 lbs. I'm a body builder and can bench almost 500 lbs and I hit a 140lb heavy bag everyday and I can dent it with a single punch. Also, it swings close to the ceiling if no one is standing there to hold it, and even with someone holding it, said person is thrown backwards because of the impact. Now I know I'm no boxer, the only boxing exercises I do are heavy bag, skipping rope and shadow boxing. But I know Pacquiao is just a featherweight and I hit maybe twice as strong as him. So can I beat him if we were to fight? Would his punches affect me? And can he handle even one of my jabs to the body? Just curious.

  1. if you can hit him.. you're far too slow for him.

  2. I don't think you could he has been in way more fights than you. And he is a lot faster.

  3. well the question is would you have a chance to fight him? because the reason why they have certain weight divisions is to keep guys like you from pounding a feather weight

  4. Could he handle a jab from you? I'm sure he could. Could you beat him in a boxing match? You'd definitely have a puncher's chance, but you'd probably take a lot of punishment, whether they would hurt you or not, before successfully landing anything damage. Pacquiao is wild, so landing something is not impossible, but you would have to be willing to endure the storm that he would bring. Also, with your size, it would depend on your plan of fighting him.

  5. first off, you cant understand what goes on inside a professional ring until you step into one. in the gym, everbody spars with everybody, middleweights spar with lightweights, welterweights with crusierweights, and featherweights with heavyweights like yourself. Manny has sparred with guys as big as you and felt there punches. Boxers are trained fighters, i would take strawweight champ ivan calderon over any bodybuilder in the world because calderon is a fighter, all bodybuilding does is make your muscles big and stiff. Pacquiao wouldnt have to take your jab to the body because you wouldnt be able to hit him with it (no offense). buy the time a non-boxer throws one punch a boxer will have put three combinations together and already stepped back to cover up, i would suggest going to boxing gym to see what it is really like, and its a lot different than most people think it is

  6. honestly no. boxers are trained to take punches and even the smallest guy can have strong punching power. (hence the term "throws like a heavyweight"). other than that boxer are able to slip, train head movement, and have excellent footwork.

  7. its not the harder hitter that wins the fight its the better boxer/smarter fighter. Manny would eat u alive.

  8. maybe

  9. There is more to beating a good world champion boxer than just strength and punch power. If you could land one on him then you would. With your no experience in the ring, this might be difficult ..His punches would hurt you.
