  1. Dial 141 before the number you're about to dial.

  2. dial 141 and then the number you want to call.

Try it calling your mobile for peace of mind.

  3. Yes, you need to phone BT and they will sort it out for you, so that if anyone wants to check who phoned them they will not be able to get your number.

Alternatively you could choose who to withhold it from.

There is also prefix number you can use. Just before dialing out.

  4. IDK WHAT THAT MEANS.

  5. i suppose there must be but you have to ask their customer service

  6. its the same as a standard mobile 141-then the phone number

  7. Well I know that with BT you can dial 141 then the phone number and that will withhold your number.

    It worth a shot.

Try ringing your mobile number using the above method and see if the number is withheld.

  8. i thought it was 141 as well

  9. 141

  10. Yes.  Check in your local phone book, usually these type of instructions are at the beginning of the "white pages" (though in some places the yellow pages).  It's probably a "*6..." type number.  You dial it.  You get another dial tone, then you dial the number.

Of course, some people/places block all phone calls that refuse to provide caller ID.

  11. huh?

  12. did u just ring my phone

  13. In the US you dial *67 before dialing the number... I'm not sure what a UK equivalent would be.

  14. NO THERE IS NOT
