Hi! I want to work at the US embassy in Montreal. I am a US citizen, and I'm young. I just recently graduated high school. i would just really like some info on working at US embassy in Montreal. I think it would be a great experience for me, and i want to do something new. It doesn't matter to me too much which job I will have, however, I am good in writing. I also heard that if i work there then I will have diplomacy which means that I could possibly go to school there as well (in Montreal)

If anyone has any info about this please give me all the info you have!

Also, if you know the website that would me a lot as well. I can't seem to find the website anymore.

Thanks! :)

  1. The USA consulate in Montreal Web page is

    http://montreal.usconsulate.gov/content/...

Their Address is 1155, rue Saint-Alexandre, just north of boulevard René-Lévesque

    and their phone numbers are

    Tel: 514.398.9695

    Fax: 514.398.0973

Currently they are not hiring...and unfortunately for you they usually require at least a College degree to work in the Consulate and sometimes experience in the Area your wanting to work in.It wouldn't Hurt though calling the Consulate and asking if they have any sort of Internships for Young people like you.

    Best of luck!

  2. you have to apply via the us state dept at www.state.gov see careers. you will have to qualify and a hs diploma is usually not enough.

you will have to take the civil servants exam or another test.

since they speak french in quebec you would need to speak french probably.

I immigtrated to Canada. Try going that route if you have a job skill they like or need.

www.cic.gc.ca see the govt immg site link i just posted and see studying in canada

    www.canada.gc.ca for more info
