I think they can afford to. Now that the Idea cup is in their hands, they can do anything. Dhoni is brave and cool enough to take criticism.

As it is Mendis did almost nothing to these young players. they have faced him and played him.

but wt's the need of experimenting with mendis... he is just a small kid in international cricket.  

do the experiments with murali,  who is still the unsloved problem to international batsmen. after murali then think about mendis and others.
