Can Indians go to college for free?

Yes, I'm aware I had a question like this not too long ago, but I wasn't so clear on the details.

A teacher of mine said that if you're 1/4 Indian you can go to college (or at least a state college) for free. Somebody who had responded on my other question said that he was going for free and they bought a laptop and everything.

Now, my grandmother on my mom's side is 100% Aztec Indian, so would I qualifiy? I also live in Missouri if that has anything to do with it.

So what are any other little details to go with this? I really don't know any more besides that. Thanks.

why would you go to colege for free if your indian. thats discrimination

I don't think it's Indians. I think it's Native American.
