Can Japanese work for the US Air Force as a doctor? ?

I am a Japanese medical student. I will be getting married to an airman soon. I'm trying to look for a hospital where I can work as a doctor in the near future. It it possible for me to work in hospital that belongs to the Air Force ?

  2. unless you are also a US citizen, no, you may not be an doctor.  Only Officers are doctors, and Officers must be citizens.,  as a Japanese national, you could do your interning at Yokosuka Naval Hospital( Yokota doesn't have one). or on Okinawa.    But as a civilian..only if you were licensed to practice in the US.

  4. If it is a stateside base you will have to pass the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) and also obtain licensure in some state. If you are thinking of hospitals in Japan, there are only two Air Force hospitals. At Yokota Air Base and Misawa Air Base. However, the Naval Hospital in Okinawa Prefecture has internships for Japanese medical students in cooperation with civilian hospitals in the prefecture.
