  1. a little bit, its mainly for foot quickness though. if you really want to jump higher i would recommend you lift weights to strengthen your body. With your body stronger, you can start plyometrics with a lower possiblity of injuring yourself. sprinting will help with jumping.

  2. nope

  3. yes... the constant hopping on your toes will strengthen both your calves and ankles. it will give you better hops but not an insane jumping ability that a workout based on jumping higher would.

  4. Yes. When I played college basketball (35 years ago) we used to jump rope for 5 straight minutes before and after each practice. Yes, it builds stamina, but it also develops your calf muscles like no other type of training. Not only does it develop strength but also quickness.

Oh, yeah. Anyone who says jumping rope doesn't increase your vertical doesn't know about training.

  5. No it really just increases your stamina. If you wanna jump higher follow this exercise. I kno alotta people who have followed this exercise and now jump alot higher.

if you're looking to increase your verticle, check this outtt:

    wall sits

    regular jumping

    net touches

    squats/hands on head

    '', hands in front

    squats holding a weight plate

    squats with bar behind head

    ankle weights with jump rope

    tip toe raises

    power rebounds

    palms on ceiling

i found most of this online
