  1. yes she can.. but she won't she does not want too... i do not know why she has retired from tennis..

  2. That's an interesting point. I don't see why not. You don't have to be part of the WTA to play for your country, surely?

The Olympics really have nothing to do with the WTA, so I'm sure Henin could still play for Belgium in Beijing, if she wanted to. Chances are she doesn't want to but I really don't see why she couldn't.

  3. i dont think so because i think that once you retire, your done

  4. The WTA are responsible for WTA events. The Olympics has nothing to do with the WTA. The Belgian Tennis Federation chooses whom will represent their country in the Olympics.

Clijsters could technically play too but as they are both retired, I very much doubt they intend to play.

Martina Hingis cannot play due to the drugs ban which even if she was still playing would rule her out.

It would be great to see Kim and Justine in Beijing however I can assure you if won't happen unless they come out of retirement. But yeah technically they can.

  5. no because she`s retired.

  6. she probably can if she wanted to.

i still say her retiring is suspect.

what was the real reason she retired?

did she retire before she could get banned?

hmmmm.......inquiring minds would like to know.

  7. She retired from Professional Play, the WTA.  She could still play in the Olympics if she would like.  This was a big loss to Tennis, especially to the Belgians.  Since she retired though, she obviously is choosing not to play in any tournaments.  I hope she comes back one day.  She's still so young and she was #1!!!
