My question is that say i have an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or a little higher for when im applying for law school but i have a great LSAT score of say 170...what are my chances of getting into a decent school. Bc from my practice tests and prep tests i believe i can attain a decent score on the LSAT but besides the point, everything i have read and seen alot of times LSAT scores can offset a not so great GPA. sorry so long thanks.

  1. LSAT counts more because it shows the univ. if you are able to do good or not in law school. if your logic and reasoning are up there than it will offset the low GPA.

  2. Yes, in the end your GPA isn't that bad, and LSAT scores count more. If you can explain to a committee or in an essay on your application why you have a lower GPA (family problems, work etc), then they will be happy to forgive you, assuming you do get a good LSAT score.
