Can LeBron James (when he retires) Go down as the greatest player ever?

LeBron is just a monster in the NBA... Since his rookie year he's been dominating and he took his team to the Champion series against the spurs (even tho they got swept ) with hardly no talent on his team, I think the only reason they lost is because they were triple teaming him an his team couldnt make shots... and then the next year, they played the celtics better than anyone else, even kobe, and almost beat them...I think LeBron is the best all-around player in the NBA, and he can only get better... By the time he retires, would he be the greatest player of all time (I know there wont be another Jordan, but he can be just as good if not better)

  1. jordan is the current holder of the greatest ever player so far. with the way he is playing so far, he is already taking over the league. but for him to overtake jordan as the greatest player of all time, what he must do is to break the standard that jordan has set in his entire career. not necessarily just scoring the points for his team, but also having much more success than jordan did. lebron has the talent to achieve such feat, but what he needs to have is the heart and compassion for the game that jordan did. i'm not saying he doesn't have it, its just that his compassion for the game is still far from that of jordan.

overall i'd say he has a close chance to achieve such feat, as long as he doesn't have any serious injury in his career.

  2. Lebron Could be like Mike.. Maybe not the best ever but the best in his Era

  3. if he can get the rings he'll atleast be up there in the top 2 or 3...he's just to dominant on the floor and not to mention he's still getting better

  4. lebron is overrated

  5. Well maybe not "the greatest player ever". I dont think its fair to discredit MJ like that. But LeBron's gonna be remembered as one of the greatest players.

  6. once kobes gone and lebron is in his prime age, he has a chance, but don't forget jordan.

  7. i totally agree i like kobe and i think lebrons not better then him but he is gonna be like in 2 - 3 years and lebron started of better then kobe cause lebron scored 21 ppg as a rookie while kobe had 8.9 and i think lebron will be known as one of the top ball players and he really can do almost everything. so i agree buddy.

  8. sorry but no.... Kobe does everything better than LeBron in the game of basketball. He makees more points, more assists more steals, and etc. LeBron only gets mroe rebounds. Also u have anoth ermistake,  Caavaliers playing Celtic's better than anyone else?? WHo said dat. And anyways LeBron did horribl ein all the games except for game 7. If u ask me leBron mad ehis team lose. And also, the celtcis got better after every series. First they got to game 7 with hawks (embarassing), than they improved and won in game 7 vs cavs(still embarassing), then they got even better and beat the pistons ( great battle), then celtics got even better, go tlucky and beat th elakers. That wont happen next year tho. So my point is LeBron is a great player ya, but not better than kobe Bryant.

  9. No

  10. nah...

  11. I kinda agree with what your saying...I think when Kobe retires(probably first) then maybe he would be closer to being a little like Jordan than LBJ23. But both of them can be!

  12. He will either be second best behind MJ by a tiny bit, tie MJ or hopefully even be better than him. I hope LeBron goes and wins alot of championships soon..and MVP's of course :D

  13. Lebron could be known as the greatest player ever, but he will definitely be a hall of famer. Lebron still needs to win championship before being considered the greatest.

  14. Just 4 rings and he will be!

  15. I think Kobe will be the best player in this era, but some will still argue that James has an arguement.  I think james is the best basketball athlete ever but player, not.

  16. dude first things first stats don't mean nothing if Kobe or Lebron can take their teams to the NBA Finals and not get beat and not get swept and maybe win some championships then you can say they had a great Legacy but to compare them to the greatest to ever play the game is unfair let Kobe be Kobe and Lebron be Lebron they will have their own Legacy's in time
