Can Lions grow back their paws?

Someone told me that lions have evolved to grow back their paws because of poacher's traps. is this true?

  2. Absolutely not. The only animal that can grow back body parts is the lizard, which can grow back its tail.

  3. As far as I know, Mammals can't grow back body parts.

    Octopuses, starfish, lizards (tail), etc, can regenerate limbs.

    For on thing, it follows the same kind of logic as Lamarkian theory, which was debunked over 200 years ago.

    It's like saying people in the French Revolution evolved to grow back their heads because of the guillotine.
