Given his age, the odds are against him, but only time will tell. One thing is for sure, he will put everything thing he has into making it happen. Martin may not be "the greatest driver of all time" but he is darn sure one of the best.

the thing is hes able to stay out of wrecks and stuff he can win a race but not the cup as i see it..id like to but i just dont see him doin it

the dude can't even race a full season, a couple of hard crashes and he'll be wishing he retired differently

I think he absolutely has a chance.  Rick is going to put $$$$$$$ into that car, and he will have a ride to contend with.  He's got the skill.  I say good luck to him.

He's a great driver and in that equipment, I don't see why not. I think its great that he is coming back. We need some older people in the sport. I miss them!

He can come close but I think most fans who are honest to themselves know that the Mark Martin era is over.

Yes he can, and it'd be great for NASCAR if he did.  Talk about a great, positive guy who's done everything for the sport but win the title.  I'll be rooting for him, can't help but like Mark Martin.
