  1. He can... but she won't resign.

Please don't participate in all the trash about her daughter being pregnant - i.e. "baby gate" as you call it.

  2. She can decline, to accept the nomination.

  3. It has happened more than once.  Thomas Eagleton resigned before the election.  During the Nixon Administration, Spiro Agnew resigned as Vice President (for taking bribes) and was replaced by Gerald Ford, the House Minority Leader, per 25th Amendment.  Then when Nixon resigned, Ford became President and Nelson Rockefeller became Vice President.

  4. Palin can withdraw.  Thomas Eagelton was forced to withdraw as George McGovern's running mate in 1972.  I don't see it happening here.

  5. hard times? for obama, wait and watch the polls next week...

  6. Yes he can... sounds like a familiar campaign slogan... lol

Which if you think about it, this probably was set up like this from the beginning.... I've never trusted McCain, its another Rove tactic, to shake up some things and keep McCain in the spotlight.

Remember, all that glitters is NOT gold..........

What will be the headlines tomorrow?

Jason, where I come from, you're presumed guilty until proven innocent.  There are TWO different Americas as I'm seeing on Yahoo Answers.

GOOD LUCK Palin on this one...........  The media is going to have a field day and watch all the neocons try to wrangle their way out of this one.

  7. Yes, prior to the election, with the RNC looking over his shoulder. A plausible scenario

  8. I know..her daughter is such a w***e.she had a good teacher though.

  9. Nope, not guilty

Palin's calls for reform appear all the more prescient while she is facing an investigation herself. The Republican-controlled Legislature has hired an independent investigator to determine whether Palin improperly pressured the former state public safety commissioner to resign this year.

The former commissioner, Walt Monegan, has said he felt pressure from Palin's administration, & her husband, Todd, to fire a state trooper, Mike Wooten, who was going through a bitter divorce with the governor's sister The trooper was not fired.

Monegan told The Anchorage Daily News that Palin had showed him some of the findings of a private investigator the family had hired and accused the trooper of a variety of misdeeds, including DRUNK DRIVING & CHILD ABUSE.

Palin told the newspaper he feared for his wife's safety and said Trooper Wooten had made PERSONAL THREATS against her and her family. The governor has acknowledged inquiries by her staff to the Public Safety Department but said she played no role in them.

  10. cool yer jets boy, this heres America and we are all presumed innocent till proven guilty. thats what our boys are fightin and dying for. you'ld hire a lawyer too.

  11. Yes..and it's my opinion that if she wants to protect her daughter..she would do just that "resign".  On the other hand..maybe she just wants her daughter to feel the sting of the media and make a better choice next time.
