I was on a 6 day dose pack and starting getting blurry vision after the first day.I contributed the blurriness to old contacts after a cpl days I changed contacts to new pair with no difference.I have been off the meds for 5 days. Can this be a side effect? I went to eye dr yesterday and he had no good conclusion about the vision difference.with corrective lens they couldnt get my vision better then 20/80 which is a big difference compared to my normal 20/30 with corrective lens.My eyes feel sore, have had a headache off and on and lower head/neck pain.My husband notices the diiffence in size of mt pupils while we were waiting in the office.I also had my bp checked and blood sugars that were normal

  1. SIDE EFFECTS: Adverse effects of methylprednisolone depend on dose, duration and frequency of administration. Short courses of methylprednisolone are usually well-tolerated with few, mild side effects. Long term, high doses of methylprednisolone may produce predictable and potentially serious side effects. Whenever possible, the lowest effective doses of methylprednisolone should be used for the shortest length of time to minimize side effects. Alternate day dosing also can help reduce side effects.

Side effects of methylprednisolone and other corticosteroids range from mild annoyances to serious irreversible bodily damage. Side effects include fluid retention, weight gain, high blood pressure, potassium loss, headache, muscle weakness, puffiness of the face, hair growth on the face, thinning and easy bruising of the skin, glaucoma, cataracts, peptic ulceration, worsening of diabetes, irregular menses, growth retardation in children, convulsions, and psychic disturbances. Psychic disturbances may include depression, euphoria, insomnia, mood swings, personality changes, and even psychotic behavior
