Can Mickey Mouse Platys go in the same tank as Bettas?

get a big tank that will give enough room for the beta to one side and the platy the other half

Despite what many people will tell you, male Bettas are actually very peaceful as long as they are not in the presence of other male Bettas.

Just be sure not to put him in with nippers. Platys should be fine. Just provide enough space for all.

People at petco and petsmart don't know waht there talking about, so if they say bettas are solitary, that is not true! I mean they don't live with other bettas, but they enjoy other fish. It does depend on the fishes personality. I have 2 bettas in 2 different tank, one of my bettas always flares at the snail in his tank and the other one just leaves the snail that is in him tank alone. most bettas are fine with tankmates. Wit 5+ gallon tank that will work.=)

I was wondering the same thing, so I went to Petco to ask. The fish dude told me that bettas are ment to live by themselves. The only Betta that you could put with other fish would be a female Betta.

please do not but any other fish with a betta...

some  fish are fin nippers and would destroy the beatiful fins of a betta.

if you dont want a loner fish dont get a betta get school fish like neons or smoething else. hope this helps good luck

I currently have 3 Mickey Mouse Platies with one of my male Bettas and 3 Neon Blue Painted Platies in with another Betta. It depends on your platies personality mine could care less if another fish is around as long as he gets fed. And it depends on tank size as well.

yes that will be fine the only problem would be the size of the tank if its 5 gallons and up you'll be fine
