Can Microsoft Zune accessories be used with the Ipod?

I want to know if the usb cord that comes with the Ipod is the same as the one that's used with the Zune? Are most of the accessories for the Zune compatible with the Ipod or are they totally different? I have an Ipod touch, I ordered an FM transmitter and it says it's for the Zune but the picture on the Ebay listing showed an Ipod on the picture. It looks like they actually use the same little plug in the picture.

If it helps, I have an Ipod Touch.

The transmitter will work with both because it uses the headphone jack. The usb cord won't because the sync ports on both devices are proprietary.

Unfortunatly no. The little plug in charge part is not the same on both the zune and ipod.
