    The form book says that he has to have a chance based on his third place in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. But only two horses in the 20th Century managed to win the Grand National twice at Aintree. They were Reynoldstown (1935 and 36) and Red Rum (1973, 74 and 77) although Poethlyn was also a dual winner of the race (1918 and 19) but the first was a wartime race run at Gatwick.
