Possum and bats carry rabies.  The person before is mistaken.

Mosquitos do not vector HIV because they are not warm enough to keep it incubated.

African American issues are a biproduct of socioeconomic status, diet, and lack of access to medical care.  Granted this is just applicable to a subset of the population, but it is large enough to offset the numbers.  However, they tend to have more heart trouble due to higher natural cholesterol levels.  But the same can be said for Europeans.

African Americans are by and large a disenfranchised part of our communities, health care is limited thus routine visits you might be lucky enough to have rarely happen for them and diseases are not caught early.  Diabetes is a disease at a higher rate in A.A. than in other groups of society thus leading to kidney problems and often heart. It is the domino effect. No health care or limited health care and people will appear sicker.
