Can New Blacktop Ruin Tires?

My apartment complex just repaved the parking lot and I've noticed that my tires screech whenever I go around a corner over 10mph. Can the new blacktop be wearing down my tires?

I have never heard of new blacktop damaging tires...the new blacktop is sticky and that is probably what is making that screeching noise...if the noise is not present outside of your parking lot i would not worry about it...if you do hear it outside your parking lot it may be worth having your alignment checked since we know that can cause tire wear...Good Luck

not too much more than a regular black top would

it won,t hurt them. after while it will wear off your tires. they blacktoped the road here too, and it did,nt hurt my tires.
