  1. It is actually not a tough question at all. If you emigrated to the US from Africa, then, by definition you are not an African American. African American's were forced to come here as slaves, you are coming for college. Not quite the same thing. If the questionnaire asks if you are "Black", you can say "yes", if it asks if you are African American, definitely not.


  2. I would say No. Being african-america would mean you are an american citizen. You are still considered a citizen of your native country.

    I am originally from Morocco so i am African but I live in the US which means im an african american. i got a schlarship just for being african american so yeah u should. Its not gonna hurt u but it may help.
