Question:

Can OBAMA change the "politics-as-usual" and convince Ted Kennedy to allow WINDMILLS to be built in Mass?

Ted Kennedy use his ammassed political power to squash a RENEWABLE ENERGY project of constructing WINDMILLS off the coast of Massachusetts, apparently because it was upsetting to Mr. Kennedy's view from his limousine while he would be driving off to his vacation compound!

Shouldn't this HIGH PROFILE Democrat (who OBAMA and his party just paid tribute to) be setting a BETTER EXAMPLE!!!

Heck!!! Dems are against offshore drilling---AND THEIR AGAINST RENEWABLE ENERGY if its anywhere in the vicinity!!!

Do they expect us RED STATERs to take on all the cost and hardship from this so they can sit up in their IVORY TOWER and look down upon us!!!!

PLEASE OBAMA HELP STRAIGHTEN YOUR PARTY OUT?

DO you think he should do something here? Can he prove to us that he is a NEW kind of Democrat who is NOT an elitist like Ted Kennedy?

  1. Obama is NOT a "new kind of Democrat".  He never was, never will be.   His words do NOT match his actions.  Sorry.

  2. Not likely but Teddy should not be around much longer so Massachusetts will be required to rubber stamp another Kennedy.

  3. kennedy is your typical NIMBY democrat

he would never allow Air turbines to mess up his private sailing area

he is full of hot air

i am personally embarrassed by him

  4. Good luck trying to overcome NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) syndrome. Congress in general has a long history of creating legislation which they exempt themselves from. Obama is not going to change this, contrary to his lofty goals. The issues we face are systemic and one man is not going to change the system. The voters have the power, if they are willing to exercise it and remove those incumbents who stand in the way of progress. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to happen though.

  5. Lord knows there are enough WINDBAGS in Massachusetts to create electricity with the addition of a windmill or two to catch all the HOT AIR.

  6. You are my type of dude..

  7. Take a look at nuclear power. Obama is against it, and Illinois has the most nuclear plants in the US.

  8. I doubt any rich politician a******s want to live next to a windmill.
