Can any retailer in the state of Ohio deny a sale based on a store policy of "one per customer"? In this instance, I'm talking about the Wii Fit. There was no special pricing or advertisement, but there just so happened to be 5 at the store when I went. I wanted to buy 3, and was denied due to their "one per customer" rule. The way I see it, everyone else had an equal opportunity to purchase the items. They weren't held for me. If I happen to be in the store at the right time and have adequate funds, why can't I buy more than one?

  1. Any retailer can set limits on their product.  They are under no obligation to sell anything.

Until it is sold, their merchandise is theirs to do with as they please.

The manager may even decide to keep them all for his own kids if he wishes.
