Paris Saint-Germain are the pre-season favourites for the Ligue 1 crown but Lyon have emerged as their major rival in that regard, and the Rhone giants have claimed to have a key to beat PSG in the title race
The question on everyone's mind is can Remi Garde’s side stop the Parisiens from claiming their first league title in eighteen years or the Ligue 1 crown already belongs to the Ile giants?
The cash-laden club from Paris has spent more than 150 million Euros in the summer. Les Parisiens have signed some of the best players in the world with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lucas-c22528

However, Remi Garde’s side has so far given a hard time to the oil-money-fuelled from Paris and the boss has vowed to stop the Parisiens from cruising away with the Ligue 1 title.
Paris Saint-Germain’s season has seen several ups and downs in the 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign. November was a month to forget for Carlo Ancelotti’s side but they recovered quickly and are back on the right track once more.
However, Lyon coach, Remi Garde feels that PSG are not invincibles anymore and they can be defeated. The Frenchman was talking to reporters at a press conference and when asked about his side’s plan to stop PSG from claiming their first title in eighteen
years, the 46-year-old had many positive things to say.
Referring to PSG’s slump in form, Garde said that PSG have showed strong nerves to get back to winning ways and it is completely normal if we look at the quality of players they have at their disposal. In addition to that, they have an experienced coach
in form of Carlo Ancelotti and stopping them won’t be easy.
"After their two losses (to Saint-Etienne in the Coupe de la Ligue and Nice in Ligue 1), I think PSG have clearly got a different momentum now and they are a team that are back in good form.”
The Lyon boss said that they are used to this kind of situation in the Ligue 1 and has claimed that Les Gones have what it takes to stop the Parisiens from cruising away with the Ligue 1 title.
"We are used to their up and down results since the beginning of the season.”
Garde said that no one can question Paris Saint-Germain’s potential as a team and Lyon need to do more than well to stop them this season.
"Regarding their potential as a team, sometimes they use it like they are at the moment and sometimes they seem to underperform and don't reach that potential.”
The 46-year-old added that it is up to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 to make things difficult for PSG in the league. By performing well in each and every game, Lyon can put more pressure on the cash-laden club from Paris and the coach has vowed that Les Gones will
rival PSG till the very end.
"It's our task to make it as difficult as possible for them to play their football."
Can Lyon stop Paris Saint-Germain? It won’t be easy for the Rhone giants but it is possible nonetheless.
