Can Orajel (benzocaine) be used on normal skin as a topical anesthetic?

I know that it has to be applied to be a mucous membrane to get into the bloodstream, but what if there was a cut there already? or twenty or thirty pinpricks?

  1. You can probably put it on normal skin area but not around if there was a cut because of the problem that it could cause.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well to see what they say.
