yes the oscar will eat anything (including you!) but i would not reccomend outside insects ect because they might carry disease, internal parasites, or pesticedes if they are around gardens, i have always pondered the idea also because i have HUGE slugs around my house always and they would make a great meal for my piranha. i would think if you were to freeze the slug first it might kill anything harmful to a fish, but dont quote me
