Hi, I tested my ovulation through kit last month and it came positive on 17th day after period. Then I got my period on 16th day after ovulation. My period cycle length vary from 28-32 days. last cycle was for 32 days. I started checking for ovulation from 12th day as I was expecting ovulation to be on 17th day but it did not happen. I have been testing and today is 22nd day after my period ans it is still negative. Can I still ovulate? or did I miss it before 12th day?

  1. It can vary month to month and for some woman, sometimes they don't ovulate every month, so keep testing.

    good luck!

  2. No you do not ovulate at the same time every month and in some cases you do not ovulate at all. Everyone has their own luteal phase length. I would suggest that you begin with your OPK 5 days after your period ends just in case it comes earlier than you would think. You could also start testing your cervical mucus. You are looking for the stuff that is similar to egg white and can be stretched between your fingers. That is one way that I am sure that it is time.

  3. yea

  4. ovulation is 14 days before your next period. so unless you have exactly the same length of period and cycle, this will change the ovulation date by up to a week.
