Can Parents Of Homeschooled Children Lose SSI Benefits???

I am seriously considering homeschooling my 15 year old son. I am on Social Security Income, am I putting myself at risk of losing my benefits?

  1. I homeschool my two children and am on SSI. As long as your disablilty is not one of a mental disablilty there is no issue. At most, they require extra documention, but what else is new with SSI. Physical limitations are no reason why you cannot homeschool....including being on SSI....

  3. No! My son is on SSI because of birth defects he has. We home school and have had no trouble with SSI.

  4. there is no correlation.  be sure the school materials are from an accredited facility.
