Can Paris be taken in for one day?

I'm planning to take the Eurostar from London to Paris early in the morning (around 0500 I think) andreturn to London around 2000. Is it worth visiting Paris for the day like that? I've never been to Paris or any part of France before.

There are so many things to do and see in Paris that you could spend a year there and still feel like you needed more time. But a day would be very enjoyable and allow you to see some highlights so that you can decide if you want to go back. So you'll have about 9 hours for Paris. You can do, 2-3 times, the open bus tours (there are 4 lines). But it comes at 9h in the morning, so you'll loose an hour more. At Gare du Nord (the station where the Eurostar arrives) is , also, a station for the tour. But, in this tour you'll see a lot of the beauties of Paris, you'll smell something of it's charm and, finally, it will be a great mixture. So, a day it's not enough for Paris, but....it's up to you !

Yes, it worths!

You can see a lot of things in only one day. Don't loose your time in museum, unless it's a rainy day.

For instance, start your day visiting Ile Saint Louis, Latin Quarter, Luxembourg gardens, Seine banks, Louvre Palace. On the afternoon, get the metro to Eiffel Tower. You may have time to see Champs Elysées befor you leave.

It's worth spending a day or any amount of time there if you could speak French. I love Paris but I never been there b4 cuz I would feel uncomfortable not knowing the language. I would be odd one out.

It is worth it, but it will take more than a day to visit Paris.

NO! it's absolutely NOT worth it. You have to spend a lot of time in Paris to appreciate it. If you stay only a few hours, you'll hate it and it would be a shame.
