or am I supposed to sit there and wait for the light to turn green. I was at an intersection and from the angle I was crossing, the light said red, however I was not sure as to whether I was supposed to walk or just wait for it to turn green. There was a crosswalk there, bu I am just curious how it works, so I don't get ran over, lol.

  1. Wait........but the law states that the pedestrian always has the right of way but at the same time you can get ticketed for crossing at the wrong time.

  2. Supposed to wait for green.  However, even if you stand in the middle of the intersection, you are the pedestrian and pedestrians have the right-of-way, even if they're in the wrong place.

  3. Sure you can. Iwould look both ways before entering the intersection so that a vehicle doesn't hit you though....Is it legal? NO.... The police can charge you with J-walking, or if you cause an accident, they can charge you with more..
