Can Prozac Cause Seizures?

On 10mg of Prozac. In the first few weeks of taking it. Been having bad headaches. But the big thing is getting these (at times violent) shakes, almost seizures really. Pupals dialated, no emotion, cant really talk, and these seizure like movements. Thoughts?

  1. Yes. Anti-depressants can cause seizures and it sounds like you're having some very serious side-effects from this medicine.

    Go see your doctor immediately! They need to give you a different anti-deppressant or try another route altogether. If your doctor says, "It will pass, " get a second opinion!

  2. You are describing some serious side-effects; as listed on the medication leaflet(s), these should be reported to your doctor without delay.

    Some people simply can't tolerate the drug, others do not have the proper enzymes that allow them to metabollise the drug.

  3. those are probably just ur muscles twitching getting used to the medication, but if they continue u should consult ur doctor or pharmacist.
