Can Rafael Nadal revive his glory at the 2012 Australian Open? - Tennis Special
Spanish number one, Rafael Nadal, is on course to reclaim his throne from the reigning world number one, Novak Djokovic. He will stamp his authority on the game when he lands in Australia to oust the men’s field of tennis in the first Grand Slam tournament
of the year, the Australian Open.
Only thing that is bothering Nadal at the moment are the six back to back defeats at the hands of Novak Djokovic in the tournament finals, including the two Grand Slam events, Wimbledon and US Open. He will definitely overcome his frustration when
he squares off against Djokovic in their next encounter and he will enter the arena with one thing on his mind, victory; everyone knows when Nadal gets going, there’s no one to stop him.
He was depressed by his dismal performance last year against world number one and wants revenge at the court. The talking will stop and action will begin, Nadal is all fired up to take revenge whilst Djokovic has million other thoughts in his mind.
When a man is focused on one thing, the chances of achieving it increases exponentially, as compared to the one who is hijacked with multiple tasks.
The Spaniard is ought to reclaim his throne as the world number one in the South African Airways ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) World Rankings. He is just 25-years-old and still owns a positive head-to-head record against Djokovic with 16-13.
He defeated the Swiss Maestro, Roger Federer, at Mubadala World Tennis Camp; showed good momentum in Qatar ExxonMobil Open as well. He is still struggling to recover himself from chronic injuries but will definitely play through pain to add another Grand Slam
title to his tally.
Nadal has all the potential to become the next king after Roger Federer and Djokovic’s year long cameo will be over soon. 2011 was the year when he was thought to rule the world of tennis but the Serb snatched the glory from him; this time he is not
going to spare anyone and no one will be able to react to his fast and furious left handed returns at Melbourne. The lost motivation and decreased passion for game is revived; world number two will soon be back on song; his bad patch is past now, so is the
2011 season. Gael Monfils is lucky to earn himself a victory over Nadal this year and he might be the only one to achieve that this year.
The statement of Nadal clears the air for her fans and critics, “I have my game and he had to live and die with tennis.” This is good enough to pass on his message to all his rivals. Smart people can read between the lines and understand the depth
of it. The aggression is reborn in the Spaniard and he is not the same Nadal that we saw in 2011. He nailed his opponents in Davis Cup’s final in 2011 and he will do the same in the first Grand Slam of 2012, the Australian Open.
Just few more days to the Australian Open, it is anticipated by a large number of critics and tennis fanatics that Nadal will fly high and Djokovic will be dumped once and forever; Nadal mania has just begun!
