  1. I think these are two different questions.  1. I don't think reason can heal a wound.  Otherwise, the wound probably wouldn't have happened to begin with.  If it's something the "wounded" person had no knowledge of until s/he was wounded, then I still think there was a problem of some sort that existed to begin with, so reason is still not able to help.

    2.  Yes, knowledge can be a vice!  ESPECIALLY when said knowledge is ill-conceived & acted on!

  2. Reason lead to many cures and treatments for several daises and traumas, "knowledge" is not synonymous with reason.

Reason is a methodical approach to gaining knowledge not knowledge itself.

Reason does not result in absolute knowledge only a rational conclusion based on objective observation, data, and information.

A conclusion reached by employing reason is not a vice because if new information comes to light reason demands that we abandon invalid conclusions.

  3. I'm not quite sure what you're asking here, so here goes nothing.  I do think people can use empathy and understanding from the other person's perspective to help them understand why they did or acted a certain way.  I think this 'understanding' can help and harm.  It can heal wounds and can make one prone to being a doormat.  Finding the balance between the two and evaluating each situation individually along with the person's history to one will probably help.
