Can Roborovski Hamsters hair change color?

Question

My roborovski hamster's fur is sandy brown/yellow like most of his breed, however, I have noticed that there is a patch over his head that has black fur. I recently noticed that the patch got bigger like it's spreading. I'm not sure if his breed changes color in their fur. Is this normal?
