Question:

Can Roddick or Blake make a deep run at the U.S. Open?

At the beginning of this year, Roddick beat Federer, Nadal and Djokovic but fell apart at Wimbledon and hasn't won since March. Blake is coming off a big Olympic win against Federer but I don't think either of them can do much this year. Any other opinions are appreciated

  1. What does a deep run mean?? The only thing that matters winning it, and sure as the sun will rise tomorrow, those two will not win it.

  2. Roddick is my favorite player but needs a better backhand to beat djokovic on hard. Blake has a backhand but needs to get it going for him to win. If roddick can take a return game off either djokovic or nadal and hold serve well enough he has a great chance off winning

  3. no

  4. They will both lose before the semifinals. I don't see them beating Nadal or Djokovic. They might be able to beat Roger, but he is not playing very well these days. I think they can make it to the quarterfinals.

  5. my opinion is.. i doubt either of them will have a chance to win the US OPEN.. unforunelty for them that would be a snowball chance in h**l!

but they can certainly potentially have a win over the now slumping roger federer.. and perhaps maybe wins over players like marat safin, richard gasquet, andy murray  .. if they win over players like that, that is a big accomplishemnt in itself!

but they will not have wins over nadal or djovick if they get to play them...

  6. yes!!!!

andy is going to win the open!!

if he beat all three of them, why can't he do it again???

    go andy!!
