I don't like snakes, and I can't understand how some people could keep snakes as pets. A pet should be something with interactive and meaningful social values. I don't think that a snake is capable of thinking on behalves of it's owner and care for them in the same way as dogs and cats do. What is it that people gain from a pet Snake?

  1. i agree.  i have no want or need of a snake.  i do know people that do, but i don't know why.  i find that even things like mice and hamsters aren't very lovable and interactive at times.  your time is better spent on a dog or cat, although i also find that cows (yeah, i know, i'm crazy, but believe me) have a lot of love to give.  i reaise them for the fair, and you would not believe how eager they are to please, much like a dog would be.  i raised pigs this year, and it is entirely different.

  2. Snakes have facial expression.

Keeping a pet is invidual's choice.

We generally know about dogs and cats. People who keep snakes may be knowing about its qualities and behaviour. Otherwise, snake is considered a dangerous and fearful one.
