In our favour we have a kicker and possibly discipline. Apart from that I fear a swamping.

Still think outright winner will be France or Australia

No Argentina will take care of them.  How can you think France or Australia will win it? France are out next Saturday, their playing the All Blacks, probably the following weekend Australia are going home, after a semi final loss to the Kiwi's.

France haven't done anything to indicate they can win it. Absolutely bizarre!!!

Argentina will win comfortably.

Scotland showed poor form agaianst New zealand and narrowly escaped beating Italy, While Argentina showed their true form to topple the home nation first up and cruise through the rest of pool play.

Argentina look set to make a semi final against a likely South Africa.

Argentina are playing very very good rugby at the moment, and will set up an all SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE Semi.

Pumas vs Springboks

France will lose in the Q/F.

Then Aussie in the semi's.

Springboks will go down in the FINAL!!!

So this is who we are playing the QF's?  I was trying to find that out.  Anyway, we'll have to play a helluva lot better if we want to have a hope of beating Argentina.  They did France over admirably, so I don't think Scotland would pose much of a threat to them, unless we upped our game....A LOT!

No sorry. The Scots will be gone this game. Argentina would give the top three (NZ, Oz and S.Africa) a good game on their day. Since before the World Cup started i thoight Argentina would be the dark horse to make the semis, now i wouldn't be surprised to see them in the final!

Scotland is a Rugby nation and should be able to beat Argentina. However, this RWC's biggest revelation is without a doubt the argies spirited play. Can Scotland? yes, will they? we'll see. The other side of the coin: can the Pumas beat Scotland? I think yes.

Nah. Argentina is too well prepared, and has a good forward pack AND backline, two things the Scots are missing. Still backing the AB's to at least be in the final against South Africa (but maybe Argentina?), if not win the Webb Ellis Cup

Not for all the rocks and stones in edinburgh have the boyo's from celtic land have a chance as for France making it after meeting the AB's well start praying because thats what they'll need when they come up against the best by stats and record.

Are you on drugs?! Well, anything's possible but this would have to be a real long shot. Can't see them getting close. Argentina are playing some great rugby whereas Scotland are doing the opposite.

First of all i`d like to say i`m english and i will be rooting for scotland just like i was against italy but sadly i think they will get beaten,by how many i`m not sure.But one thing to say is that i`m glad for them that they have made it to the quarter finals.

As for chris patterson,what a top man  his a legend for the scotland camp just as j willkinson is for england.

Scotland has always planed to make the quarter finals and I strongly believe they have a good chances of making the semi. But Argentines have been playing smart and all heart rugby. They have worked it out, that it's all in the mind and have studied each team and their performance. It will be a close game, but I do feel that Argentina will take it at the end and from drop goals.

I think the Pumas have been underestimated and by the time anyone realized how good they were they were through. The Scots will not make the same mistake as the French did . With the Pumas being the up and coming and the Scots playing for pride this will be an outstanding game but I am afraid I haven't seen the same passion from the Scots as the Pumas so as with their game against France my money is on the Puma and I think by 10pts.

Against NZ, Scotland were poor. But they knew they'd be poor days before the kickoff ... that's why they sent out a second-string side, so as to save their best for the Italy match. The Scots played an aweful game against the Italians, but still won! Against Romania and Portugal they were on fire. The Scots have gears that many World Cup fans haven't seen yet. With the right mindframe, hopefully they'll show this against the Argies. If they do, the Scots will win.

Well I reckon Scotland have as much chance of beating Argentina as Wales had of beating Fiji. Its just not going to happen. Even the Scottish managers philosophy of the All Black game was more Disneyland than fact.

Argentina are a force in this cup and frankly as a kiwi and AB's supporter, I would take on Scotland any day rather than the Pumas.

I think Argentina have surprised a lot of people all ready and will continue to win. I think they will go through and also win the semi final against South Africa. The final will be played between AB's and Argentina. The AB's will then win.
