  1. In the same way as one enjoys anything material (such as ice cream) so a pleasurable experience that take up some time is not wasted, although nothing outside of ones own pleasure was achieved.

Indeed we waste most of our time, because the amount of it we use to create something of use is very small. So Russell is really saying that since you will be wasting most of your time anyway, you migh as well try to do it in a pleasurable way.

  2. "Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time" is quite literal in fact, people whom enjoy what ever they do in a specific time period is not time that is wasted. This suggests that when you enjoy what ever you do; it cannot be classified as a waste of time.

Example of this would be, you play computer games, this would be considered a waste of time, but since you enjoyed this it is not really a waste of time.

  3. interesting quote!

well i think that the quote means that time that enjoyed is never wasted.

for example - you may think that watching tv is wasting time - but if you enjoy it - it is not really wasted because you enjoyed it.

another example: you may consider listening to music a waste of time.  but if you listen to music and enjoy the experience then that time is not wasted - as listening to the music made you feel happier.

the aim of life is to enjoy it.  this means that time that is enjoyed is never a waste of time!

i hope this helps you =]
