Hi i live in California. I got a traffic moving violation ticket. I was charged with mip of marijuana and alcohol. So i got 2 misdemeanors. I went to juvenile court because i was 17 when i got the ticket. however, i turned 18 about 2 weeks before my court date. i got my license suspended for a year and have to pay a 400 dollar fine. My question is since i was 18 when i went to court does this mean that my record is not going to be sealed or will it be sealed? Also i am insured under my mom with allstate. Will i be dropped or what will happen with my insurance? Will it just remain the same or go up? I appreciate any of the answers you can give me. Thanxs!

  1. Driving records are not like criminal records, they don't get "sealed" when you turn 18. Your insurance will take a hit with these two charges if not make you uninsurable with Allstate.
