Can Someone Recommend a Good Cordless Phone?

I have a phone (cordless) from Vtech and I simply can't hear on it. I have the volume all the way up. I need a new phone with a volume control (for me to hear them). I have a razor cell phone it is fine in fact I have to turn down the volume a little on it. I want brands and models if you can. Don't recommend Wal-Mart I have tried all there phones with no luck (they only have like 3 models at decent price). I am looking for something under 50 bucks.

For land phone quality, PANASONIC is tops right now.  I dumped my old phone and picked up a nice cordless Panasonic and it works better than anything I've ever used.  It has a great volume control and "speakerphone" right on the handset.  You will probably pay about 50 bucks, but you won't be dissapointed.
