Can Someone Try To Try?

This sounds kinda stupid, but can someone try to try? When you try, it is usually because you have never done it or don't know how. If you have never tried, how can you try to try? I am losing sleep over this! I am all paranoid and shizz.

Yes, you can try to try, as in... Try to put effort into it. An incredibly lazy thing to do, really.

You could always say that someone could attempt to try or try to attempt something, but yes, you can try to try in the sense of try to make a try (football) otherwise it doesnt make sense gramatically speaking! Hope this puts your mind at rest, goodluck! :)
