Can Someone answer All these Math questions for me please I'm in a rush?

Ok well I'm kinda in a rush to finish my math packet there's only one page left and its giving me difficulties so can you please help so i can finish everything i need to and prepare myself for school??

Please don't give me the answer i would like it if you should me how to do it please and thank you

1. 2x^2-5x-12=0

2. 4n^2-4n-35=0

3.72-26y+2y^2=0

4. 10+19m+6m^2=0

5. x^2-2x=15

6. 2x^2 +x=3

7. 3x^2-4x=4

1. 2 x ^ 2 - 5 x - 12 = 0

first, add 12 to each side. this is because you have to somehow get rid of the '-12' and make it 0. you must add 12 to both sides because in equations, what you do to one side, you must do to the other.

now we have

2x^2 -5x -12 +12 = 0+12

simplify this and get

2x^2 -5x = 12

now, simplify further

2x^2 is 4x so...

4x - 5x = 12

simplify again

-1x = 12

now remember, '-1x' is 12 - not '1x'

so now we divide by -1. this will make the -1 a positive number. remember what we do to one side we do to the other so we must also divide 12 by -1

so

1x = -12
