  1. This was my kids favorite

    Dump cake (very easy)

    1 can pineapple rings (with juice)

    1 can fruit pie filling (your choice)

    1 box cake mike (Your choice of flavor)

    1 stick of butter

    Preheat oven to 400

    take 9x13 cake pan and line the bottom  with the pineapple rings;

    dump in your pie filling and spread on top of the pineapple

    take DRY cake mick and spread over pie filling.

    Cut equal squares of butter all over the cake mix.

    Do not touch, stir or mix!

    Just bake for 40 minutes until butter melts and browns the mix.  When a hard crust is created remove from over, let cool about 30 minutes and serve with ice cream.

  4. They could just take a boxed cake mix and mix it with a can of soda and cook it as long as the box says.  Just add the soda, not anything else that the box says.

    Good combos are:  chocolate cake with coke

    vanilla/yellow cake with sprite/7-up

    We had been to New York last month and happened to taste a wonderful pecan bar. Ever since I have been searching for a good recipe to bake it myself, but all I found had eggs in it. Yesterday I went to the library and I found a recipe for eggless pecan bars in Martha Stewart’s Cookies book. The recipe is from John Barricelli, Martha’s longtime friend and she herself tells that she has tried lots of pecan bars over the years, but John’s are the absolute best. So how can I not try it, when it is eggless too?

    I found this recipe in Taste of Home magazine. This recipe was submitted by one of its readers. I’m so glad that I found this recipe because these cookies are absolutely delicious. It had the “melt in your mouth” texture, which reminded me of the butter biscuits we get in bakery shops in India. I would say that these are the best cookies I have baked so far. It’s not too sweet and it also has a hint of saltiness, which is the perfect combination. Also it’s so easy to put together.
