Without any defence, and a dodgy midfield?

Not to mention neither of their goalies have never played in the epl.

  1. Can't really see it, i think they are still a few players short of breaking into the top 4, yes the defense is still a bit suspect, they have a good midfield and are still short up front, so it will be a tall order for Tottenham.

  2. Nope

  3. Hopefully not but their squad is much better than Liverpool's

  4. Of course they can, you're forgetting that Sevilla was nothing special before J.Ramos came, same thing will happen with Spurs, they signed Gio and Modric and they maybe won't break in to top4 first season but in a season or two for sure!!!

  5. no LIVERPOOL, MANU, CHELSEA AND EVERTON WILL STAY TOP

  6. No not at all. I think Arsenal will win EPL this season.

  7. maybe if they brought garry mabbutt back with is magic knee

  8. Yes i think they can ive watched the players they have bought in Santos, Modric, Bently all they need is to replace Keane with someone like David Villa or The Russian Guy they are after and they may have a chance, they just got to hope their new goalie Gomes isn't a waste of money and they should do just fine

  9. I'll settle for above Arsenal.

    Sad, but true ...

  10. "Dodgy midfield"... I think that part alone has made this question lose any kind of credibility.

  11. Why not. Miracles do happen.

  12. I dont know what im more surprised at .... ANYONE thinking that Sp*rs could break into the top 4, or <THFC> actually speaking some truth (respect mate!) about his beloved team!

  13. LOL! You're an Arsenal fan aren't you? You're afraid that they will take your spot which by the way the are going to. Tottenham will finish 4th and Arsenal is going to finish 5th.

  14. not if theres a god

  15. Why not?If you're looking at individual talent, the Spurs XI is a lot stronger than the Arsenal XI.

  16. If anyone thats gonna be replaced, its Liverpool. Spurs should focus on finishing in the top 10 this time, lol 37 points behind Arsenal, dream on thats all I can say. Their squad seems to be stronger than Arsenal, but then again It was the same thing before the start of last season.

Lets see whos squad is better.

    ATTACK :

Berbatov & Bent Vs Adebayor & Van Persie

    Winner : Spurs

    MIDFIELD :

Modric, Jenas, Dos Santos, Bentley Vs Nasri, Fabregas, Bischoff Rosicky

    Winner : Arsenal

    DEFENSE :

King, Woodgate, Hutton, Bale Vs Sagna, Gallas, Toure, Clichy

    Winner : Arsenal

** Arsenal's Midfield, and defense is better than Spurs.

I see this every season, not just Spurs fans getting excited but fans of other clubs as well. They get a few signings, think they can break into the top 4, which will never happen, ever. Simple as that mate

  17. Are you joking?

    _____________ Gomes ____________

    Hutton ___ King _ Woodgate _ Gilberto

    _______ Modric ____ Zokora ________

    Bentley_________________ dos Santos

    ________ Bent ____ Arshavin _______

Sorry, but that's looking just as good as Arsenal's XI, if not better.

  18. Spurs wont do it

  19. no.....arsenal looked class last night...utd are always up there as are liverpool.....same goes for chelsea....id be happy with a top 6 finish...but it wont suprise me if we end up somewhere between 6th & 10th

  20. seriously,i dont think that the spurs can go from finishing 11th in one season to finishing in the top 4 the next

    that sounds quite impossible

  21. the book is on in the table

  22. Yes.

Defence is so-so but midfield is definately not dodgy. Modric, Lennon, Jenas, Huddlestone and Bentley are all quality players, especially Bentley and Modric! So I think that is unfair.

King and Woodgate are the only good defenders.

That 20m from selling Keane will go to a suitable replacement, probably Andrei Arshavin. They also have Dos Santos, who is a good young talent for the moment, Berbatov, and Darren Bent.

I think that Gomes is a good keeper, playing 4 years in top division Dutch football, 128 games for PSV.

    Yes, they have a chance.

But Arsenal are still the more likely.

  23. Not In This Lifetime Not Without A Miracle!!!

  24. The FA do not want any other team other than Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool to finish in the Top 4 and represent England in the Champions League. I say this because Everton were well equipt to do just that last season, but some of the most obvious decisions went against Everton. from denying goals for offside, clearly not the case once the replays were shown, not awarding penalties when clearly they should have been (1 all season). Giving penalties and terrible decisions against us, these overall during the season denied us the right to finish in the Top 4.

Without sounding bitter, 2 of the 4 teams that finished above Everton last season were not a great deal better.

Good Luck to any team that wants to finish in the Top 4, but I am certain that the FA have something against a team that tries....

  25. Yes,why not.They got good players & intelligent manager.

  26. I think it is highly possible.

I think Spurs will be 4th at the expense of Arsenal.   Arsenal squad is very small and very young so are slightly inexperienced.

Arsenal lost some of their best players, and i think they will flag at the end of the season like they did last season.

Spurs last 3 seasons, finished 5th 5th and 11th.   However that is due to a poor start under Jol.

Arsenal are pure quality, but they need to balance this with quantity.

And i'm not convinced if they can only beat Ajax 3-2.

Look at tottenham's pre-season results and highlights they look fantastic and have the clean sheets and goal to back this up.

We will truly see if they can break the top four tomorrow, see how they do against Roma, who are better than Ajax.

too be honest the new tottenham squad look set to be the next Arsenal, as they look very very creative with their new signings and also play football that is close to the football of Arsenal's but like i said...

...it's all about the Roma fixture.

And also i read that since juande ramos has gone to Spurs, the average points he has won with them so far, if he were there at the start of the season would have accumalated to be enough points for 4th spot.

  27. I don't think they can just by looking at Arsenal,Chelsea,Man Utd and Liverpool. I'm not sure if they are a Top 4 team.

  28. finally someone as sensible as THFC!

buh i agree they cannot break top four but they still will end up in top 10! i think they deserve anywhere between 6-10th spot!
