I live in a townhouse style apartement, which has a vent on the side (because I'm on the end) and I can hear the squirrels, in the wall throughout the day and early night. While waiting on my complex managment do I need to have any worries?

  1. Squirrels generally nest in trees.  It sounds more like rats and management needs to get on it pronto! I had an infestation of those little buggers in an old house we lived in and they are quite smart.  I only killed one via traps, they avoided a zap trap, snap trap and a humane trap (which is what I started with).  I could hear them chewing away at the wood inside my walls;  it nearly drove me insane knowing they were there and eating my house!  I suppose it could be squirrels in town but it's pretty rare.  I have heard of raccoons getting in but not squirrels.  I'm pretty certain our dog's food dish sitting out front is what brought the rats to begin with as they ate through aluminum to get inside the house, they marred up the concrete where they'd been coming and going.  It was pretty bad.

  2. Yes!  I get them constantly!  Lately I've had luck with the electonic pest chaser, plugs in and gives off a sound they don't like.  I also use red pepper on the contertops or in cabinets.  They can get in a hole the size of a dime.  They drive me nuts!!  No pun intended.
