Can Stern suspend NBA player(s) for a fight during Olympics?

If any of the USA Olympics players get kicked out of a game in Olympics(or cause something like an all out fight), does Stern have the ability to suspend them or fine them during the regular NBA season?

  3. Yes Stern has the ability to suspend them and/or fine them. NBA players are under contract and have an obligation to represent the organization and the league. On top of that, a huge brawl will have legal consequences and as we know Stern certainly has the ability to take action  

  4. Yes, he can suspend for whatever he wants.

  5. Yeah I'm pretty sure he can. Cuz when they do something wrong outside in the streets or something they get suspended or fined. It should be the same in the Olympics

  8. yeah, the stance of the NBA would be that while at the olympics, all NBA players are representing the NBA and getting into fights and stuff would be punished by stern

    Its the same if they get into fights on the street or are arrested etc...
