I have a stretch mark, just below my abdomen, it's been there for years, but I've noticed that recently it's gotten bigger. I can fit the tip of my finger in the dint now.

Can it actually rip or tear open?

It feels as though there is a very thin layer of skin between me and my insides O_o

  1. nop no way

  2. Skin can break open if you do not moisture, but then again skin stretches just like a rubber band. I doubt it stretch that much that you would go as far or deep as your suggesting. moisturise a lot and you will be fine.

  3. see a doc maybe it's a hernia or something that requires medical attn

  4. No, your stretch marks cannot rip or tear open.

Here's a quick definition of what stretch marks are:

"Stretch marks happen when the skin is pulled by rapid growth or stretching. Although the skin is usually fairly elastic, when it's overstretched, the normal production of collagen (the major protein that makes up the connective tissue in your skin) is disrupted. As a result, scars called stretch marks may form." (http://kidshealth.org/teen/your_body/ski...
