AND IF SO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO? I THINK THAT THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE IS SOMEONE WHO YOU GIVE YOUR HEART,YOU SHARE YOUR LIFE AND LOVE WITH THIS PERSON UNTIL THE DAY HE OR SHE DIES. I THINK YOU COULD HAVE MORE THAN ONE OF THESE. TO ME A SOUL MATE IS SOMEONE WHO YOU ARE SPIRITUALLY CONNECTED WITH PERMANENTLY. YOU ARE ONE WITH THIS PERSON. YOU SHARE THE SAME FEELINGS,URGES,PAINS,JOYS,THOUGHTS.

UNTIL NOW,I THOUGHT THESE HAD TO BE THE SAME PERSON,BUT I THINK I HAVE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE AND A SOUL MATE.

I DON'T KNOW. I COULD BE WRONG ABOUT ALL THIS. GIVE ME SOME INSIGHT ON HOW YOU SEE IT.

it makes sense in a way. I think you may be to young to even know what love is but you do have a point. I believe I have a soulmate (also girl above who said it has only been around ten years or so is seriously naive.. can i get a Shakespeare quote anyone? perhaps from Romeo and Juliet?) and I believe i have the love of my life you would think it would be the same person but sometimes its not. Like you have a soulmate someone who you can get along with all the time at any level and agree on almost everything but for some reason it doesn't work out but you can be away from this person for 10 -20 years see eachother again or talk again and nothing as changed.

The love of your life is the one that you can't fathom going that 10-20 years without.

Soul mates do not exist. That is a recent buzz word. I only started hearing it about ten years ago. It probably came from a movie.

The love of your life is someone you share your life with. That could be your spouse, friend, pet, parent, or whoever is good to you and loves you.

There are all kinds of love but there are no soul mates.
